  ViralEbookExplosion Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is a method of promoting web businesses (merchants/advertisers) in which an affiliate is rewarded for every visitor, subscriber, customer, and/or sale provided through his/her efforts.

But all I have to do is advertise...what could be so hard about that?

I found the definition below of what Affiliate Marketing is on another website...no wonder people think it is the greatest way to make money online.

"Affiliate Marketing is a great way to earn some extra money without actually having to "do" anything. All it involves is placing an ad on the affiliate's website. There's no selling or promotion of any kind. The affiliate can just sit back and wait for the profits to roll in."

Wow!  let me not kick you out of your easy chair and prevent you from becoming a millionaire. You just sit back and let it all begin to roll in.  While you are setting there I will be teaching others how to make the money that you could be earning.

That website owner neglected to say that in some cases, an ad or Affiliate Link can be placed on an affiliate's website for months before a potential customer "clicks" or purchases something. Talking about frustration!

Yes basically the only job of the Affiliate Marketer is to advertise - but that requires a great deal of learning and effort. It's nowhere near as simple as throwing a link out on one of the social network sites such as twitter, throwing up a banner on your blog or your website or placing free classified ads.  It will require some effort on your part and some learning to be able to really succeed in Affiliate Marketing.

Affiliate marketing is about connecting buyers and sellers and rewarding those that facilitate the connections. It is basically paying for performance.  The product owner does not pay unless the Affiliate performs and the customer buys.

A great thing to do is to contact a product owner and have them train you on how to best sell their product. Or get into a good program that will help teach you the art of Affiliate Marketing.

I remember the first time I sent out to my brand new list of 10,000 people.  Everything I was reading and everything I was being told was sounding so  good.  I was expecting to make at a minimum of $1.00 per person on my list each month.

Well was I unpleasantly surprised right away. I was not making much at all at first.

So what was wrong?  Well the biggest disadvantage I had that people failed to let me know was,  I had no relationship with my list.  They were recommended to my list through another marketer that they already knew, liked, and trusted.

It was now my job to begin to build a strong relationship with my list.  I needed them to Know ME, like ME, and trust ME. I was about to find out that it was going to take consistent effort and motivation on my part.

You have to put forth a consistent effort in order to make money; if you're not motivated, you won't do well.

I want you to know that if you are ready to put forth some good consistent effort, and dedication, Affiliate Marketing can really pay off and over time you will see a substantial increase in your earnings.

Now I am not trying to discourage you from giving Affiliate Marketing a try as it can be very rewarding, and actually quite a great way for the average person willing to put in the extra work, keep up your motivation level and really go into it with your eyes wide open, to make a very good income online.

Go out and find some good Affiliate Programs that you can join and really take the time to dig in and make things happen.  It will pay off if you do.
